Founded in 2017 by Leon Mckay, after studying and working in the manufacturing industry of metal engineering and furniture making in Melbourne Australia. Saintleo was first started as a workshop for architectural commission and projects in Auckland, New Zealand from a desire to showcase craftsmanship in Metal.
In 2023 pivoting the direction of Saintleo more into a design focused studio it now merges an appreciation for design, collaborations and ideas.

Conserving the iconic A7's the original Altec speaker components were sourced worldwide, The plans for the Altec A7 boxes were drawn and converted in CAD which then were constructed in upgraded Birch Ply. The boxes design was then again enhanced in mirror polished stainless steel. Making this 1 of 1 pair one of the most uniquely finished Altec A7 speakers in the world.
